the world of music lost such an amazing artist this weekend. amy winehouse was an incredibly talented artist with a sound so unique she stood out from all the rest. i loved her tone, her style, and her impact on the music industry of this generation. this is my favourite song by miss winehouse back to black <3

20 toes

this weekend we had some 20 toes weather. its the kind of weather that is rainy, cloudy and stormy. its the type of weather that makes you want to come home early from work. it makes you feel like curling up in bed. it makes you feel like snuggles. 20 toes in bed for cuddling. sounds perfect.

this bride is one of the most beautiful brides i have ever seen. she is this tiny little barbie bride and every photo of her by erin heart courts photography is flawless! she is wearing one of my favourite oscar de la renta dresses and was featured earlier this year in style me pretty. and i can't stop thinking about her look. had to feature her. lovelovelove it <3

gotta accessorize 

this summer we re-decorated and renovated our living room and kitchen. several trips to fabric shops and tiling places were necessary to complete the look of our new space, and though it was tedious, it was certainly worth it now that we can relax and enjoy both rooms. the colour palate and fabric choices as well as the cabinet's colour (i wanted white obviously) were all a matter of compromise between the boss and i. i may have been the designer but dad was footing the bill so i had to give in some areas however i got my way (and changed his mind) on a lot of ideas including the subway tiles, floral throw cushions and piping on the navy arm chairs! love the rooms and am still keeping an eye open for some accessories!

i still can't decide how i feel about toms canvas shoes. they are absolutely everywhere right now, and i remember when they came out thinking, but they aren't that attractive?? but now i feel about them the way i feel about uggs. uggs are super unattractive but super comfortable and trendy. who wouldn't want to walk around in something trendy and comfortable? anyways what is your thought? fashion do or don't? style before comfort or comfort before style??
